GLP-1 pill tracker

Taking a GLP-1 by mouth means a daily routine rather than a weekly shot. Reko keeps each tablet, your weight and how you feel in one record.

Key takeaways

  • Reko recognises oral semaglutide, including the names Rybelsus and Wegovy pill, and records it as taken by mouth.
  • Another tablet can be logged by typing its name and choosing by mouth.
  • Reko draws no level curve for tablets, because it does not model absorption by mouth.

What Reko keeps for you

  • Each tablet. Amount and time, marked as taken by mouth, with no injection site to fill in.
  • A daily schedule. Set your plan, and get a reminder that leaves the medicine's name off the lock screen by default.
  • Side effects. Log them the day they happen and see them beside your doses.
  • Everything around it. Weight, food, water, sleep and labs in the same record.

Why there is no level curve for tablets

Injected doses have a published half-life that Reko can use for an estimate. A tablet is different: the Wegovy label says only about 1% to 2% of an oral dose is absorbed. Drawing a tablet with the injection curve would show a level far too high, so Reko leaves the curve out rather than guess.

What the Wegovy label says about the tablet

The current U.S. label says to take one tablet once a day in the morning on an empty stomach with up to 4 ounces of water, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other oral medicines. If you miss a dose, it says to skip it and take the next dose the following day. Other tablets have their own instructions, so follow the label for yours and ask your prescriber.

Questions people ask

Can I track a pill and an injection together?

Yes. Each dose records how it was taken, so one record can hold both.

My pill is not in the list. Can I still log it?

Yes. Type its name when you record a dose and choose by mouth.

Does Reko tell me when to switch from a shot to a pill?

No. That is a decision for you and your prescriber. Reko records what you decide.
