Wegovy click chart

Free Wegovy FlexTouch click counter

Use this calculator to see how many clicks match your prescribed dose.

Click count calculator

Read this first. Wegovy's instructions say: "Do not set the dose by counting the number of clicks you hear." Only the dose counter and dose pointer show the dose, and a part dose does not line up with the pointer. The clicks filled in below are not a label figure. Count your own pen and ask your prescriber before relying on this.

Match the dose, the volume and the number of doses printed on your pen and carton. The same dose comes in different pens.

Not on the label. Count the clicks on your own pen and change this.

Weekly is 7. Used to compare with the pen's limit after first use.

Enter what the pen cost to see the cost per injection.

How the Wegovy click calculator works

  1. Pick your penThe dose printed on the pen is not enough: the same dose comes at different strengths. Check the volume and the number of doses too.
  2. Enter the doseType the dose your prescriber gave you, in mg.
  3. Read the click countThe calculator shows the whole number of clicks that comes closest, what they would deliver, and whether the pen would reach its limit after first use before you finish it.

Check it against your label

  • The EU leaflet says: "Do not set the dose by counting the number of clicks you hear."
  • The pens listed here are the FlexTouch pens in the EU product information. It gives each pen's volume and 4 doses, and no click count. Wegovy single-dose pens have nothing to count.
  • The dose must line up with the dose pointer.
  • The EU leaflet says to discard the pen 6 weeks after first use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Wegovy click counter?

It estimates how many clicks of the dose selector correspond to an amount in mg. It is an approximation. It does not suggest a dose, and what you take comes from your prescriber and your label.

How many clicks are in a full dose?

The label does not say. This page starts from the volume of one dose and assumes 0.01 mL per click, so 0.74 mL is 74 clicks. The volume comes from the label; the 0.01 mL does not. Count your own pen and change the number.

Why does the pen matter so much?

The same dose comes at different strengths, so one click holds a different amount. On a 1 mg pen with 0.74 mL per dose, a click is about 0.014 mg. On a 1 mg pen with 0.37 mL per dose, it is about 0.027 mg, nearly twice as much.

Can you split doses using clicks?

Some people do, but it is not a method Novo Nordisk describes or supports. The instructions say the selector clicks differently when turned forwards, backwards or past the dose, and that the dose must line up with the dose pointer. A part dose does not. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist first.

What about the medicine left after the last dose?

The EU leaflet says there might be solution left after 4 doses, that it is not enough for a dose, and that the pen should be disposed of. This calculator does not count it as an extra dose.

How long can I use one pen?

The EU leaflet says 6 weeks after first use. A smaller dose makes a pen appear to last longer, but the limit stays the same. The calculator warns you when your injections would run past it.

How is the result worked out?

Amount per click = full dose ÷ clicks in a full dose. Clicks = desired dose ÷ amount per click, rounded to the nearest whole click. Delivered = whole clicks × amount per click. Injections in the pen = full dose × doses in the pen ÷ delivered, rounded down.

Example with made-up numbers: a full dose of 1 mg in 100 clicks is 0.01 mg per click. Wanting 0.25 mg gives 25 clicks, delivering exactly 0.25 mg. Wanting 0.025 mg gives 2.5 clicks, which rounds to 3 and delivers 0.03 mg, 20% over. The calculator warns you about a result like that. It also warns for fewer than 2 clicks, and for a dose larger than a full dose.
